Charlie Appleby is the only trainer with more than one win in the past ten runnings, having scored with Blue Point (also a dual winner of the Kings Stand) and Naval Crown.
Since the race was upgraded to a Group 1 nine of the 21 winners were priced in double figures with only five successful favourites.
The longest priced winner of the race was Kearney at 40-1 in 1980 whilst the shortest priced winner was the Australian Black Caviar at 1-6 in 2012.
