Aidan O'Brien last won this with Winter back in 2017 and he holds a strong hand in this year's renewal with PRECISE and True Love. The former turned the tables on her 1000 Guineas conqueror when winning the Irish equivalent at the Curragh last month and justified the reason why she was the more fancied of the two at Newmarket. The daughter of Starspangledbanner bids to record her fourth success at the top level and she is tough to oppose. Balantina won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf when last seen and isn't one to write off on her return to action.

Coronation Stakes Overview
Founded to commemorate the crowning of Queen Victoria in 1838, the Coronation Stakes was first run at Royal Ascot in 1840. The race is contested across a round mile at Ascot Racecourse. Fillies aged three years or older are eligible to compete.
A high level of form at two and/or in the spring classics is essential for horses entering into this race. The race was awarded Group 2 status when the current system of race grading came into force in 1971. It was then upgraded to a Group 1 race in 1988.
It is a regular occurrence for the Guineas participants from Great Britain (1,000 Guineas), Ireland (Irish 1,000 Guineas), and France (Poule d’Essai des Pouliches) to go head-to-head here. The most successful jockeys in the history of the race are Nat Flatman and Morny Cannon with 5 wins each. John Porter is the leading trainer in the race with 6 wins.
