Last weekend 3/4 of the BTTS tips won. Somehow, Fulham let us down by not scoring at home to West Ham. Nevertheless, without sounding bitter I will take a look at this coming weekend. Many matches on Saturday. Let’s get started. Here are my weekend Premier League BTTS tips.
Aston Villa vs Newcastle – BTTS (YES) – 12:30pm BST, Saturday
I’m going to start with the afternoon match and one that should be a very lively game. Newcastle are flying and have won 5 of their last 6. Aston Villa have won 3 of their last 4 at home. Aston Villa have been involved with BTTS 53% of the time at home. Newcastle is 60% away from home but if both of these teams score for fun and with the favourites being away from home also, it’s an easy first selection for me.
Wolves vs Brentford – BTTS (YES) – 3pm BST, Saturday
My second selection is the match involving Wolves and Brentford. I was very tempted with adding Brentford to my accy weekend bet but I ended up removing it last minute. Wolves are a very streaky team who has beaten the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool at home and then lost to Bournemouth and Leeds on either side of it. You can’t trust them for anything.
I do see them scoring at home to Brentford though and we normally see Brentford score in a game. Brentford has only failed to score away from home 33% of the time. Wolves haven’t blanked at home since February when they lost at home to Bournemouth. I can see this match being a 2-1 Brentford or perhaps a 1-1 but I do think we’ll see both score.
West Ham vs Arsenal – BTTS (YES) – 2pm BST, Sunday
We move to Sunday now and West Ham taking on Arsenal. Whilst West Ham look pretty dreadful away from home, they do still tend to score goals at home. Failed to score just 27% of the time at home this season whilst Arsenal have failed to score away just 7% of the time. I’m not sure many are worrying that Arsenal are going to fail to score here though. The bet is really that West Ham can get on the score sheet.
In the last 4 matches between the two though have seen BTTS land 3 times and in the last 2 matches at home for West Ham, we’ve seen BTTS in both of those. Arsenal will also be looking over the shoulder now that City is much more in sight with their failure to beat Liverpool last weekend.
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United – BTTS (YES) – 4:30pm BST, Sunday
We finish with Forest taking on Man United. Now, we all expect Man United to win this one but perhaps surprisingly, Forest has only failed to score 7% of the season. Nottingham Forest will have their work cut out here but it’s a huge match for them. They’re still in the relegation zone and there is every chance that Everton will have won by the time this match kicks off.
