The track is in the midlands of Ireland approximately 135 km west of Dublin. There are ten fixtures between May and October at Roscommon racecourse with both flat and jumps racing.

The flat track is designed as a right-handed oval, measuring one and a quarter miles in circumference. Whereas, the jumps track is also right-handed but follows a rectangular layout, extending approximately a mile and a quarter.
