Safarova vs Craybas Betting: The second seed can start her campaign with an easy victory
I guess that basically nobody has noticed that there are two WTA tournaments scheduled for this week, but I think that there may be some good opportunities for getting back on track after the Grand Slam. Today, I am quite interested in the encounter between Lucie Safarova and Jill Craybas.
Lucie Safarova is defending some points here and it seems that she is one of the favourites for the title. The Czech was in solid form before the US Open (defeating Francesca Schiavone and taking a set off Serena Williams), but she was sub-par in the Grand Slam and went out pretty early. I believe that she can do well in Quebec, as her draw looks incredibly easy all the way through to the final and she definitely has the skills to get there.
Jill Craybas may be one of the most experienced players on the tour, but it is obvious that she is not going to do much anymore. She is going to like the conditions, as she will be able to hit some winners without much effort, but she is going to find herself in a lot of trouble after Safarova finds the right rhythm. The Czech can unleash some real power and her shots are often stunningly accurate, so Craybas won't be able to reach many of them.
The Czech should absolutely demolish Craybas here, as she is basically two levels above her in every department, so I am going to back the set handicap today. Safarova might have some problems with her shots at the start of the match, but it should be pretty easy after she gets her range right. Hopefully, that will happen early enough in the very first set.
Back Lucie Safarova (-1.5 sets) to beat Jill Craybas for a 3/10 stake at 1.55 with Pinnacle
