Ryder Cup Betting 2014
The Ryder Cup is one of the biggest tournaments in professional golf. It is a bi-annual event which is played between a team of golfers from the USA and one from Europe and they battle it out over three special days of action for the Samuel Ryder Cup. Each team represents the two main tours in the game – the PGA Tour for the Americans and the European Tour for Europe. Teams are made up of 12 men based on their performance on each respective tour throughout Ryder Cup year.
Each Ryder Cup, the teams of 12 compete over three matchplay formats. There are fourballs, where teams are paired in two’s and each golfer on each side plays one ball each, foursomes where teams are paired up again but this time each team play alternate shots for one ball, and then the final day is played out in single matches. Each individual match in the event carries one point and the winner of the Ryder Cup is the side who wins the most points out of the 28 points which are available in each tournament.
