Power Snooker Betting: Neil Robertson looks the pick of Saturday night's action betting wise
The evening session at Power Snooker 2011 on Saturday will see the opening round of the tournament completed. In action in this session are the likes of Mark Williams, Ding Junhui and the tournament favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan. Mark Williams will take on Stephen Lee in the opening match of the session while Neil Robertson vs Stephen Maguire comes next. O’Sullivan will face Ali Carter and Ding will be up against Graeme Dott in the final match of the night.
Stephen Lee has the cue power to go really well in this tournament but Mark Williams will be a tough nut to crack while Ronnie O’Sullivan should come through against Ali Carter who is unlucky he drew O’Sullivan really given that he has the experience in the competition which could’ve been a massive advantage for the Essex man.
I don’t expect Ding to lose to Graeme Dott in this sort of format even though Dott’s the kind of player who will be practicing hard and giving it everything he has got. Not only has Ding got previous experience of the format but his fearsome potting makes him a danger to all in this tournament not just Dott in this match. He’s just about short enough to warrant not taking in a bet but I’m sure plenty will be doubling him and O’Sullivan up at odds against.
Neil Robertson should go well in a format like this because his long potting is fantastic and he’s got all the experience in the Premier League and I think he’s the bet of the night against Maguire. Maguire misses way too many easy balls for my liking these days which always makes him an unattractive proposition and he’s someone who is a more traditional snooker specialist rather than these gimmicky formats. Robertson went well in the Shootout and has gone well in the Premier League in season’s gone by so I’ll take him here.
Back N.Robertson to beat S.Maguire for a 4/10 stake at 1.73 with Paddy Power
