Lewis vs Hamilton Betting: World Championship final repeat can end in a similar outcome

The McCoys Premier League darts moves into the second half of the competition on Thursday night when the show moves to Cardiff for week eight of the tournament. Unfortunately Gary Anderson is unable to play in Cardiff due to the funeral of his father on the same day so Adrian Lewis has stepped into the breach and will play twice on the night, the first match being the opening match of the night against Andy Hamilton.

After picking up his first win in the competition last week, Adrian Lewis is a 4/6 favourite with BetVictor to win this match. Although he only picked up his first win last week Lewis had played pretty well at times in the tournament but having won his first match I’m sure he, like many others, would expect him to go from strength to strength now. A win here could well push him back into the top four.

Andy Hamilton had been going through a real rough trot in the tournament but he came back to some form last week in Dublin when he drew 7-7 with Simon Whitlock. Hamilton was unlucky not to win last week too as Whitlock needed crucial 152 and 90 checkouts with Hamilton waiting on a double. However that draw stopped the poor run of results and gives the Hammer something to build on in Cardiff this week.

Andy Hamilton has a strange record in that every time he’s thrown first in the tournament he hasn’t lost but whenever he’s thrown second he’s lost every time. When these two met earlier in the season they drew 7-7 but I think Lewis will win this match. This is a huge night for the world champion. He plays twice and can’t afford to leave Cardiff with anything less than two points. With his second match being against Barneveld he’ll want to make sure he has those two points in the bag here and I think he’ll win and win well to save something for his second match.

Back A.Lewis (-2.5 legs) to beat A.Hamilton for a 4/10 stake at 1.91 with Blue Square
