Today’s Horse Racing Accumulator Tips
Obviously chasing is going to be this six year old’s game having shown precious little over hurdles he made a winning fencing debut when scoring at Southwell last month by 1 1/4L under today’s rider, 5lb claiming Ben Bromley. A rise of just 4lb and a step up half a mile in distance shouldn’t worry Oliver Sherwood’s charge and he can defeat his two rivals here.
Hated the soft ground when last seen in the Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury last October and should be more than capable of holding his own in decent company this season kicking off with victory today in this 1M novice stakes. Roger Varian’s Lope De Vega colt appears to have only Richard Hannon’s One Night Thunder to beat and is officially rated a 5lb better horse.
Neil King’s five year old has shown promise in three starts in maiden/novice company and appears to hold a decent winning chance. Rated 83 on the level when trained by Charlie & Mark Johnstone he has very little to beat here and with Jack Quinlan in the saddle can open his account over hurdles.

NAP of the day Tips
Simon and Ed Crisford’s progressive filly looked a horse of talent when racking up a hat trick on the all-weather throughout the winter rising a stone in the handicap ratings. Last seen when winning the Winter Oaks Fillies Handicap at Lingfield in January under today’s rider James Doyle. She can score again with possibly Ed Bethell’s Port Lynas the danger.
Top-rated Tips
Clive Cox is finally getting going after a slow start to the turf season and looks to have found an ideal opportunity for his Havana Grey two year old to strike at the second time of asking. He went down by a neck to a nice type of Ralph Beckett’s on his debut at Salisbury and with that run under his belt will be hard to beat today under the in form Neil Callan.
A winnable 1M class 5 handicap that may be fought out by recent Kempton one - three Clipsham Gold, trained by Kevin Philippart De Foy and Mogwai trained by Sean Woods. There was 2 1/2L between the pair that day but the latter was having his first run for 475 days and is now 6lb better off at the weights. That should be enough to turn the tables and he looks the one to beat under Tom Marquand.

It maybe worth giving William Haggas’s Iffraaj filly one last chance here. She must be the lowest rated horse in the Haggas yard having been dropped 2lb to a basement mark of 48. She was easy to back last time when finishing 6th of 15 in a similar contest at Redcar and hopefully she can step forward from that run and run a big race here.
Mick and David Easterby’s five year old daughter of Sea The Stars looks a good bet in this very modest looking 10F class 5 handicap. A winner last October at Pontefract she showed distinct promise last time in a York handicap finishing 4th of 18 under today’s pilot Joanna Mason and with the handicapper kindly dropping her another pound holds a big chance.
Evan Williams’ five year old is chasing a hat trick of wins here having won at Warwick and Ludlow rising only 7lb. He’s only lightly raced still and would appear to hold a winning chance under Conor Ring, who still claims 3lb and has been on board the gelding for his last two victories so should know him well.
