Everton vs Tottenham Betting: Everton can claim the scalp of another big team at Goodison Park
Tottenham will look to move back into a seven point lead over Arsenal in the race for third place in the Saturday tea time kick off when they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton in front of the ESPN cameras. With Arsenal not playing until Monday night this is a good opportunity for Spurs to put the pressure on their North London rivals. Everton will want the points too however but Spurs are 13/8 favourites with Stan James.
Everton could well welcome some important players back for this match. Nikica Jelavic, Leon Osman and Seamus Coleman were all on the bench for Everton’s game at QPR a week ago and all could well come in and start this match. Everton are unbeaten in the league since the reverse fixture between these two sides back in January. Man City and Chelsea have been beaten at Goodison Park in recent weeks so Everton will be confident.
Tottenham come into this match having beaten Stevenage in the cup in midweek but they will want to get back to winning ways in the league having lost their last two matches in the Premier League. Harry Redknapp could call on the services of Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale who both missed the defeat to Manchester United last week as well as Scott Parker who missed that match through suspension.
Everton have seen off City and Chelsea here recently and so Spurs won’t find this an easy place to go to. Everton play their own conditions well and tend to up their game against the top sides, especially at home and I think they will fancy their chances of another win over one of the top sides here. Spurs have shown a weakness at the back in recent games which Everton can exploit to the full to pick up the win here.
