Chelsea vs Leicester Betting: Chelsea should enjoy comfortable passage into the semi finals
Chelsea performed a mini miracle in the Champions League in midweek and they will be looking to progress in another cup on Sunday when they host the last remaining Championship side in the competition, Leicester City, at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are still on for a Champions League and FA Cup double while Leicester will be itching to get to Wembley themselves. As you would expect Chelsea are warm favourites for this match at 3/10 with BetVictor.
Chelsea may well make changes for this match having gone through extra time against Napoli on Wednesday night and two of the changes they could be forced into could be replacing John Terry and David Luiz who are both doubts with injury. Gary Cahill could come back into the side while Raul Meireles returns after serving his suspension. Fernando Torres looked a lot better when he came on against Napoli and Roberto di Matteo could use this match to try and get a goal into him.
Leicester have disappointed largely in the Championship this season but they have gone well in the FA Cup although this is by far their toughest assignment in the competition to date. Paul Konchesky could return to the side having served a suspension while Matt Mills and Steve Howard are also pushing for a start for Nigel Pearson’s men. Danny Drinkwater is cup tied so will miss the game.
Chelsea should be good things in this cup tie. They have that little bit of extra quality in the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Juan Mata that Leicester just don’t have and won’t have had to deal with for a while. The Foxes might put up a spirited battle but when all is said and done I believe it will be Chelsea who are off to Wembley with a relatively comfortable win.
