Canada vs Kenya Betting: Canada look set for second ever World Cup win
Canada and Kenya provide the Monday action at the Cricket World Cup as they do battle in Delhi. Both sides will see this as their best opportunity to win a match at this tournament in a group which has been dominated by the bigger nations thus far. While they are not used to playing in such high profile matches against each other, these two will know each other fairly well having played a lot of associate cricket together.
The Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium is hosting its 3rd match of the tournament having hosted West Indies’ battles against South Africa and the Netherlands previously. One thing we know about this wicket is it is slow and low and is unlikely to be too high scoring. The boundaries here aren’t the largest so if someone can get in they could pick up a few runs.
Canada have won the last three meetings between these two sides in ODI’s and could opt to bring John Davison back into their side for this match. Opening bowler Khurram Chohan went off injured against Pakistan last time out so he’ll need replacing in the side if he’s not fit but if he is the attack could be unchanged. Kenya made lots of changes to their side last time out against Sri Lanka but it never really made much difference.
Neither of these sides have batted very well in this tournament but one thing we have seen is some good bowling performances from Canada, particularly against Pakistan. Hanvir Baidwan has really impressed me with the ball as has Balaji Rao. I thought Canada bowled excellently in that game and if they can repeat that in this match I think they have enough in their batting lineup in Bagai, Zurkari and Cheema to get them home here. Kenya’s attack just isn’t suited to these wickets and although they are ranked the better side I’ll take Canada to make it 4 wins on the bounce between these two here.
