Coral Interactive is the sport betting arm of the Gala Coral Group. The Coral branch of the business was originally founded in 1926 by Joe Coral. It has over 1,800 retail premises across the UK making it the third largest bookmaker in the country with an approximate 20% share of the market.
The Coral Interactive business had revenues of £119 million for the year 2015 which was a 62% increase on the previous year. The sports net revenue for the online business was £41.9 million and that was an increase of 68% on the previous year.
Customers in the UK will find Coral Interactive licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. Customers from outside of the UK will see that Coral Interactive is licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.
The Gala Coral Group is currently on the verge of completing a merger deal with rival bookmaker Ladbrokes worth £2 billion. It is expected that the brands will remain separate with Coral Interactive staying in its current guise but a number of retail shop sales could be imminent.
