BoyleSports have been around since 1989 and are the biggest independent bookies in Ireland and the second biggest online after Paddy Power. Founder and MD John Boyle is proud of their high-quality service offering punters the best odds. The range of sports is wide, including all flavours of football, and there are particularly attractive racing odds available, if not as diverse as some, and they offer some specialist markets on reality TV and award ceremonies.
BoyleSports are the headline sponsors of the Irish Grand National and the Irish Greyhound Derby and are closely associated with racing sponsorship both in the UK and Ireland. Boylesports also became partners with Sunderland A.F.C. for Official betting and Gaming services in 2007
BoyleSports are based in the Isle of Man and registered with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and licensed in the UK by the UK Gambling Commission. This ensures free, fair and legal gambling.

First the good news: BoyleSports have upped their website game massively over the last few years, and it now stands comparison with their bigger rivals. The red, white and blue scheme is clear and well laid out, and there's a huge amount of information on the home page with plenty of live markets and upcoming events. There's also a gaming and casino section with a decent range of slots, poker and blackjack games.
The website does a good job of putting the most important information front and centre, and sign-up is as quick and easy as hitting the 'sign-up' button. Placing a bet is equally straightforward, and the race card is particularly excellent, as you'd expect from an Irish bookie, with ATR live streaming available. It's just a shame there's no other live streaming on offer across the site.
BoyleSports have done a lot of working bringing what was once a nightmare of a site up to speed. Yes, there's an awful lot of information crammed on to that homepage, but it's quite clearly laid out and you'll spot new markets and promotions as soon as you log in. Our biggest criticism is the lack of game stats in the live markets - just showing the score is no longer enough when sites like Bet365 offer such a comprehensive in-play experience. This one area where BoyleSports definitely must try harder.
However, while there are bigger and better sites out there, what BoyleSports does it does extremely well, particularly if you're a fan of the sport of kings and love a cheeky last-minute bet.
Again, BoyleSports have made huge strides here with intuitive navigation via a left sidebar or a series of tabbed menus across the top of the screen. The left-hand quicklinks make placing a bet a breeze, while the tabs take you to the In-Play markets, Casino and Virtual Sports. The interface is slick and intuitive and is easy to pick up and get started. Gone is the muddled and clumsy design of before, to be replaced with user-friendly functionality. This website gets you where you need to go with the minimum of fuss.
You can download both Android and iOS mobile apps for your smartphone and tablet. They share the same basic design as the website, making them pretty much bulletproof in terms of look and feel and navigation. Again, these might not be the most contemporary-looking apps out there, but they offer the same super functionality as the website and are optimised for iOS and Android.
King of the Weekend is available exclusively as a stand-alone app and allows you to quickly and easily decide the WDW on seven footie selections, with the winner taking the jackpot. If you think you know your sport, this is a fun way to test your acumen.
There's a clearly marked link for users to download the apps either via a link sent by SMS for Android users or through the App Store if you have an Apple device.
Beside the truly excellent racing service, which really is one of the best around, as you'd expect from a company so involved in the sport, we like the Text A Bet service - just sign up and get enhanced odds on a range of markets by texting your stake, bet selection and type. As long as BoyleSports is offering a market, there's no limit to what you can have a flutter on.
Despite the lack of evolved stats, live betting is strong and we like the radio commentary feature. There's good market coverage and a speedy in-play betting service that allows for that last-minute cheeky flutter. BoyleSports may not have the high profile of some websites, but the quality of the odds, especially in racing, and the extremely regular promotions make this a very attractive site.

BoyleSports say they offer a superior level of service, and after problems in the past with payouts it was an area of their games that needed upping. We're glad to say that BoyleSports now offer a 24/7 help centre, plus live chat, email and phone support. Response times to customer queries are generally good, though you will wait longer at peak times. The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable, going the extra mile to sort out problems and ensure a satisfactory conclusion.
