Barneveld vs Wade Betting: Raymond Barneveld can secure his semi final spot in winners takes all clash
The third match in the final round of league matches in the McCoys Premier League darts is effectively a quarter final in the tournament as Raymond van Barneveld takes on James Wade with the winner guaranteed a place in the semi finals next week. There is a situation where they can both qualify with a draw but they need other results to go the right way. Wade is a 5/4 favourite with BetVictor.
Raymond Barneveld comes into this match with the second highest tournament average behind Phil Taylor but he also has only one win in his last 6 Premier League matches which is form which has seen him go from a seemingly guaranteed semi final spot to a position where he has to win on the final night to guarantee his place in the playoffs next week. Barneveld has drawn his last two matches with good performances which bodes well for him.
James Wade was wiped out by Phil Taylor last week and could only win one leg but it must be said Taylor was averaging over 116 throughout the match in another amazing performance from the Power. I think Wade is best to just forget about that match as when Taylor plays like that he is unbeatable. Wade was unbeaten in three weeks prior to that and was playing well so there is no reason why he can’t play well here.
One thing I do fear for Wade here though is Barneveld has his scoring power back and I suspect Wade could be outscored. He certainly won’t be outfinished though but I just fancy with it all on the line we might see one of the better performances of the tournament from Barneveld. He has already averaged 112 in a match this season and if he can average well into the 100’s I’m not sure Wade has the game to go with that so given that he throws first and has the chance to get ahead and stay ahead I’ll take Barneveld here.
Back R.Barneveld to beat J.Wade for a 4/10 stake at 2.50 with Betfred
