Zopp vs Hajek Betting: The talented Estonian to out-muscle Jan Hajek in Bastad

Phew, what a horrible week this has been so far. Fairly unlucky as well, as Bernard Tomic was certainly playing well enough to get more than a push on the line, while Tommy Haas looked completely disinterested in what should have been a really straightforward match. Oh well, there are bad periods in everyone's career and I guess that it had to come after those two very good Grand Slam runs.

Hopefully, the tide is going to turn today, as I am going to take one bet over at Pinnacle. Jan Hajek has managed to beat the popular Finn, Jarkko Nieminen, in the previous round and that result does indeed look very good on paper. However, I would not want to give him so much credit for that in all honesty, as Nieminen seems to be in a very strange form right now and a small injury might have been involved in that loss as well.

The Czech will now face Jurgen Zopp and I expect him to have quite a few problems against the talented Estonian. Zopp is climbing up through the rankings and it seems that he is playing fairly consistently, beating weaker players and losing against stronger ones.

The thing is, I do not really rate Hajek as high as many punters. Yes, he is on a really good run at the moment, but that also means that he has played a lot of tennis recently and this might be a good opportunity to go against him at solid odds. He is never a big favourite in these match-ups, which has been confirmed by his losses against the likes of Bedene, Zverev, or Dasnieres de Veigy. For me, Zopp is the more talented guy of the two and I would not have him over 2.10 or so in this encounter.

Back Jurgen Zopp to beat Jan Hajek for a 2/10 stake at 2.37 with Pinnacle
