World Club Challenge Betting Guide
The Rugby League World Club Challenge is a one off annual match between the winners of England’s Super League and Australia’s NRL. The match takes place each February in England and is seen as the curtain raiser to both domestic seasons although due to TV demands and Super League choosing to begin with its Magic Weekend, this match is now the same week as Round 3 of the Super League.
The contest started out in its current guise in 2000 and after a few unofficial competitions held in the UK and Australia prior to that, it was decided that the match would take place in England at a venue of the Super League champions’ choosing. The winner of this match is now dubbed the best club side in the world so it’s a prestigious honour the two competing sides play for. The 2013 renewal saw Melbourhe Storm win 18-14 against Leeds Rhinos to return the World Club Challenge trophy to the Southern Hemisphere.
