Windsor Forest Stakes Betting Guide
Windsor Forest Stakes (1m)
Second race on day two is a Group 2 race for fillies and mares; the Windsor Forest Stakes over a mile is for 4 year olds and above and was recently introduced to the festival. The reason behind the race was part of a scheme to try and prolong the racing careers of the females and stop them being whipped off to stud as soon as possible.
This idea has certainly been welcomed in certain quarters with Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket heavily supporting the race and being responsible for the winner no less than 4 times, 3 of those for trainer Michael Stoute.
The trends are pretty flimsy with only eight races to go on but they are showing a definite pattern already and any Newmarket based runners are worth looking at.
