Widnes vs Hull FC Betting: Hull FC can continue their push for the top four with comfortable win at Widnes
Saturday night’s televised Super League match comes from the Stobart Stadium as the Widnes Vikings host Hull FC in a match which probably has more on it for the visitors than the hosts. Hull FC know their place in the playoffs is secured but they can still make the top four which makes for a much easier route to Old Trafford. Widnes are propping up the rest of the league and just playing out time really.
Widnes have improved over the second half of the season but they needed to. They can be taken at a best priced 5/2 with Skybet to win this match but they will be without winger Patrick Ah Van for this game. Jon Clarke and Shaun Briscoe return from injury while Paul McShane is back from suspension so Widnes are stronger this week than they were last week when they were wiped out by Leeds.
Hull have half back Richard Horne available to them in this match which will be a big boost. Joe Westerman also returns from suspension which will further assist the Black and Whites. Kirk Yeaman is nearing fitness again but with the Challenge Cup break next week he will be rested until after that but otherwise most of the main men for Hull FC will be available as they strive to pick up the win which keeps their top four hopes alive.
Hull FC have had an excellent season and a win here will give them good momentum to take into the final couple of weeks of the season and the playoffs and I think they’ll get it too. I don’t expect them to run up 60pts and win by 30 like Leeds did last week but in good conditions for flowing rugby I do expect them to have a bit too much for the Vikings and cover an 8pt handicap.
