West Indies vs New Zealand 4th ODI Betting: Stronger New Zealand side can level the series in 4th ODI

New Zealand kept themselves in their ODI series with the West Indies when they took the third ODI on Wednesday. That means they trail 2-1 going into the fourth match on Saturday which is also at Warner Park in St Kitts. New Zealand know if they win this they will force a decider on Monday but a West Indies win will give them the series with a match to spare.

West Indies come into this match as the 2/5 favourites with Stan James but they need to show they are more than Chris Gayle. When they were strolling this series Gayle was scoring runs and hitting sixes like there was going to be a ration on them soon but when he got out cheaply in the last match the whole innings subsided meekly. Denesh Ramdin misses this match for his wedding so Devon Thomas will replace in him in what is expected to be the only change.

West Indies aren’t the only side forced into changing their wicket keeper. New Zealand have been forced into it too as BJ Watling was injured in the last game and ruled out of the rest of the series. Luckily Brendon McCullum had already been sent for to bolster a injury hit batting line up so he can now fill in with the gloves too. Doug Bracewell looks set to return from injury too which will be a boost.

New Zealand will be stronger in this match than they were in the last match and the fact that Martin Guptill hasn’t fired in the series yet could prove to be a boost too because that’s only a matter of time until he does. Given that the visitors are stronger I think they are worth backing here because if they can control Gayle they immediately go a long way to winning this match.
