West Indies vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Betting: Sunil Narine can have the New Zealanders in a spin in 2nd ODI
The West Indies took an emphatic 1-0 lead in the five match ODI series with New Zealand on Thursday when they won the opening game by 9 wickets in Jamaica and the two sides meet on the same ground in the second ODI on Saturday. With the series moving into St Lucia after this match New Zealand will be looking to win this game to go there with the series all square while West Indies will look to go two up with three to play.
West Indies were always in control in the first ODI and come into this match as the 2/7 favourites with Coral. Unless any late injuries occur they are highly likely to field the same side in this second match. They went very well with the ball with Andre Russell the star of the show while with the bat Chris Gayle did what he does as did Dwayne Smith and they were queuing up to bat after them if needed.
New Zealand were humbled out for just 190 in their batting innings in the first ODI and that’s a poor effort considering they weren’t bowled out inside their 50 overs. They will be aiming for more runs with the bat and a lot more accuracy with the ball. With the amount of injuries they are carrying it is hard to see how they can change the side even if they wanted to unless Ross Taylor is back to full fitness.
West Indies should go 2-0 up in this series and already it is looking like 5-0 is very much a possibility. I’m not a fan of taking 2/7 shots though so instead I will head for the player performance markets again. This time the player I like is Sunil Narine. The Kiwi players looked all at sea playing Narine in the first ODI and for him to cover a total of 40pts would need him to take 2 wickets which based on what we saw in the first game looks a very strong chance to me.
