Wawrinka vs Murray Betting: Stanislas Wawrinka can do well against the local hero

Tennis fans should be in for plenty of exciting matches today, as some of the biggest stars are going to be in action and the list includes names like Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray. The world's number two will be up against Fabio Fognini and that should be a relatively straightforward match-up for him on grass, while the local hero will have to play against a much stronger opponent and it is hard to believe that he deserves to be a 1.12 favourite with Bwin in that clash.

Don't get me wrong - Murray was undoubtedly the second best player in this year's Wimbledon. However, he is now going to be under a lot of pressure as a result of that and anything less than a medal would be a disappointment in all honesty. Murray has a big heart and he is going to do his best in order to get as far as possible, but he has never been on the top of his game under pressure and I can see him having a tough time against Stanislas Wawrinka.

The Swiss number two has not been on the top of his game recently, but he is a guy that loves playing for his country and I am sure that he will be able to take something from this match. He has a 4-6 record against the Scot, but I would like to point out that Murray has never beaten him by a big margin.

For that reason, I simply find it ridiculous to have Murray as such a big favourite today. He is the better player of the two and he should be able to prevail on paper, but I am willing to go with the underdog.

Back Stanislas Wawrinka (+4.5) to beat Andy Murray for a 3/10 stake at 1.85 with Bwin
