Warwickshire vs Sussex Betting: Sussex have the bigger hitters to ensure they hit the most sixes
The Clydesdale Bank 40 returns from its break for the Friends Life T20 on Wednesday and it returns with a crucial match in Group C of the competition between Warwickshire and Sussex at Edgbaston. This match is a day/night match between the top two in Group C and with just one side guaranteed to go through at the end of the group stage there really is everything on the line here. Sussex are 4/5 favourites with Coral.
Warwickshire won four of their five matches in the tournament before the T20 break but they had a bit of an up and down T20 campaign, eventually missing out on qualifying for the quarter finals on the final day of the group phase. Chris Woakes returns from England duty for this match as does Ian Bell but Jonathan Trott has been given the week off by the England hierarchy. Rikki Clarke will move back into the middle order for this competition.
Sussex Sharks are yet to lose a game in this competition this season. They had an excellent Friends Life T20 campaign too so will come into this match full of confidence. They will have Matt Prior available while Luke Wright will be looking to take this opportunity to show the England selectors what he can do. Monty Panesar will be another one looking to remind the selectors what he has to offer in front of the cameras.
This will be a really good game of cricket and I don’t think there will be too much between them through the match. I really do think this will be a hard match to pick the winner of but one bet I do like is Sussex to hit the most 6’s. In Luke Wright and Matt Prior the Sharks have a couple of prolific six hitters at this level while in the likes of Joe Gatting, Matt Machan and Chris Nash they have other options. All the Warwickshire top order are more stroke players than biffers and I think that can ensure Sussex hit the most 6’s in this top of the table clash.
