Warrington vs Catalans Dragons Betting: French outfit can stay within 12pts of Warrington in top of the table clash
Monday night’s Super League action comes from the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington and looks like it could be a real classic as the Warrington Wolves, who are in second place in the table coming into this match, take on the Catalan Dragons, who sit fourth but only one point behind the Wolves. A Catalan win will move them into second place and they still have a game in hand. Despite that it is Warrington who are 2/7 favourites with Ladbrokes.
Warrington come into this match off the back of a surprising defeat to Salford last time out and they will be desperate to avoid back to back defeats at this stage of the season, especially as Wigan won on Sunday to extend their lead over the Wolves at the top of the table to five points. Warrington rested a few against Salford like Lee Briers, Brett Hodgson and Ben Westwood and they are all likely to return.
Catalan Dragons are in the midst of a fine season and they come into the match off the back of a big win over Wakefield last time out. The French outfit have an excellent set of backs which is enhanced by the return of Damien Cardace and they have a forward pack which can muscle up well to any side in Super League. It says a lot about Catalan’s back line that Thomas Bosc can be injured but they still look strong.
This is sure to be a high scoring match with the attacking personnel on board but I think Catalans can hold their own in this match. I’m certain they will score tries as will Warrington but whether Warrington score enough to cover a 12pt start I’m not too sure. I think the Dragons are the real deal this season and whilst I’m not convinced they’ll win the match I do see them staying within 12pts.
