Wales vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Betting: Bosnia-Herzegovina can put the pressure on Chris Coleman's Wales
Wales begin their World Cup qualifying campaign against Belgium next month but before then they host Bosnia-Herzegovina in a friendly at Llanelli’s Parc y Scarlets ground on Wednesday night. Wales will be quite hopeful of going well in the World Cup qualifiers having had a good run prior to the tragic death of Gary Speed. Bosnia lost in the playoffs in the European Championship qualifiers so they will provide tough opposition.
Wales can be backed at a best price of 7/4 with Stan James to win this match. They might well be a little more prepared for this match with four of their players playing for Team GB in the Olympics recently rather than playing meaningless pre-season friendlies. Neil Taylor, Joe Allen, Aaron Ramsey and Craig Bellamy were all part of Team GB and will play in this match as will Gareth Bale who missed the Olympics with an injury.
Bosnia-Herzegovina have lost their last three friendly matches but they have named Edin Dzeko in their squad in this match and they will be looking to pick up a morale boosting win ahead of the start of the World Cup qualifiers. Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has also been selected in a slimline squad for the visitors in this match but Rangers’ Sasa Papac continues to be left out.
Wales were really starting to go nicely under Gary Speed before he died and since then they have played twice and lost on an emotional night to Costa Rica and to Mexico. Bosnia are a lot better than their friendly results suggest and they could well be worth supporting in this match. Chris Coleman hasn’t yet got to grips with this Wales squad and mould them into the style of play he likes and with the goal threat of the likes of Dzeko coupled with some good competitive performances Bosnia-Herzegovina look like the bet to me.
