US Open Betting: Graeme McDowell and Jim Furyk 11/4 favourites going into Sunday's final round in San Francisco

With 18 holes left to play in the 112th US Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco two men hold the lead on one under par. Both men are former winners of the tournament as Jim Furyk and Graeme McDowell get set to go head to head over the last 18 holes. However anyone who has watched a US Open before or any of the three rounds this week know it won’t be as simple as that.

The pair will go into the final round as 11/4 favourites with William Hill as both played excellent golf on Saturday to hold a two shot lead on the rest of the field. Only McDowell and Furyk remain under par from the 156 players who started out this week and with both men knowing how to win a US Open you would forgive the field for thinking they need to hunt them down.

Fredrik Jacobson is surprisingly on his own in third place on one over par. You wouldn’t think his tee to green game suits either a US Open or this golf course but his 68 on Saturday propelled him right into contention. Bookmakers clearly believe he isn’t suited to winning a tournament of this kind as he can be backed at 16/1 with Paddy Power to win his first major on Sunday.

There is a group of four players on two over par and they include the former two time winner of this tournament Ernie Els. He is alongside Lee Westwood and Nicolas Colsaerts while American Blake Adams completes the group. Westwood is an 11/2 shot to win the tournament with Bet365 while Els is 18/1 with Skybet to win a third US Open. Nicolas Colsaerts can be backed at 22/1 while Adams is a 45/1 shot to win his national championship.
