Trump vs Dale Betting: Dominic Dale good value to take advantage of Trump's rushed preparation
Judd Trump has had to wait a while to get his Wuxi Classic campaign up and running but he needs to wait no longer as he plays Dominic Dale in the opening round on Wednesday. These two met in the first round of the World Championship a couple of months ago and Judd Trump used a lot of fortune to sneak through that match and he is 1/3 with Skybet to win this match too.
It was touch and go whether Judd Trump would be able to compete in this tournament as he had issues getting a visa last week but he managed to get them sorted and is in China ready to play. How much time he will have had to practice and how much jet lag he will have remains to be seen. We know his natural talent can get him through most situations so a lack of match preparation shouldn’t be a concern.
Dominic Dale will be fully acclimatised to China having competed in the Asian PTC last week and with a win over Peter Lines to qualify for this tournament he has had sufficient match practice and preparation for this match. Dale knows he will get chances in this match it is just down now to whether he can take advantage of them when they arrive. He did in their World Championship meeting but was unlucky towards the end of the match.
I think with a bit of luck on his side Dominic Dale will fancy the job here. He will get chances and probably won’t have to work too hard for them. We’re guessing really just how well prepared Judd Trump will be for this match and tournament with all the visa issues he’s had. One thing we do know is Dale should be more comfortable in this match and at 11/4 he looks overpriced and a touch of value in this one.
