Very interesting handicap with several inform sorts. Several of these like to be prominent so should be a well run race.
Sir Maximillion still remains unexposed having bolted up in a maiden at Doncaster in June, did ok on handicap debut over CD stamina looked slightly stretched. Ran a stinker last time out at York over 5f, switched back to 6f perhaps not ideal and does have something to prove after that run.
Shifting Star is a moody sort, one of his better efforts last time out staying on over 7f, not sure thing to build on that despite being 4lb below his last winning mark.
Yeeow is an interesting runner for a yard that has enjoyed a very good year. Slight concern he hasn’t been seen since the spring after winning his maiden over CD on seasonal reappearance so clearly goes well fresh although that perhaps wasn’t the strongest race of its type. But did back that effort up at Pontefract next time out in a handicap when finishing 2nd in a big field, 4lb higher today but concern as to why he has been off the track after that effort so probably can only be watched at current price.
Dream Catcher was looking for a 3 timer last time out and finished 3rd shaping as if the handicapper had got to grips with him again and a further 2lb higher tonight and wide draw not ideal for a prominent runner.
Emiratesdotcom has returned to form on last 2 starts getting close in the finish in big field at Bath, back up 4lb back on the AW which puts him 5lb above last winning mark on the AW and all best runs have come at Wolverhampton so probably one for another day at that venue.
Kuanyao enjoyed a profitable 2010 season but has failed to hit same heights since but signs little more positive recently having slipped some way down the weights and has now dropped to last winning mark, the 57 day break shouldn’t be a problem as always enjoyed decent gaps between races. He won at all 3 polytrack venues at the start of his 6 timer in 2010 so return to polytrack could be the key to getting him back in the winners circle having not raced on it since winning there in 2010. Well drawn to take prominent role in this race.
