The cancellation of title holder, Igor Sijsling, is lucrative for substitute Wesley Koolhof. The lucky loser reached on the sixth day of TEAN International Alphen Challenger after qualifications and will face another compatriot in Thiemo De Bakker. Koolhof failed to impress, especially on serve and was more Balazs who missed on court starting from returns and as the match went on he looked frustrate on court, his shots lacked depth and precision in the end. De Bakker showed his good side in the match with the Portuguese Pedro Sousa, he was a lot better than his opponent and expressed that in the match facing little problems. De Bakker has good returns to press on Koolhof serve, deep and powerful shots to push him way behind the baseline and if he will not make lose errors on court he should advance in straight sets.
