Spaniard Albert Montanes needed two hours to advance further beating Burzi in opening round of AON Open Challenger in Genova. Montanes looked in control of the match leading in rallies and keeping a good dept of the balls but lost the momentum and lost the opening set but bounced back strongly giving little chance after that. Naso won a battle from the back of the court against Meffert, the German missed more on serve and on the ground, both kept the ball in play relying on opponent’s mistakes. The Italian has a reliable serve but tends to stick on the baseline relying on what comes of the other side of the net, he resist in long exchanges but the Spaniard will move him from side to side, he should use the drop shot more to call Naso at the net, if Montanes will keep his errors low he should advance in straight sets.
