Dutchman Jesse Huta Galung won the Rotterdam Open, a Future on clay, prior to his escapade at US Open qualifications. But a poorer record in Challenger level losing four in a row, his last win is back in April in Rome Challenger. The Spaniard Gimeno-Traver comes in better form, clay and hard courts, being back in top 100. Interesting meeting between two different styles, the Dutchman likes to charge the net even on clay, a powerful serve to win cheap points and the high bounce allows him to go for his shots while the Spaniard will rely to put a lot of balls back into play, the Dutchman struggled to penetrate the solid defenses losing to Robert, Vagnozzi, Starace, Riba, Bogomolov, Machado but he likes the conditions here wining the title back in 2010 and we will go against the odds and back Huta Galung to serve his way to second round.
