After his season on hard courts, the Belgian Ruben Bemelmans is in search of some matches on clay as he will participate on Davis Cup against Sweden. He was supposed to meet Reister in first round but will face the lucky loser Moritz Baumann who lost to McGee. An interesting meeting between two left handed players but the Belgian looks favorite on court, Baumann has a reliable serve and forehand but isn’t the most patient player as he press too much on his shots, the Belgian should mix more and use the slice forcing the German to high up the balls with his spin. Bemelmans will need some time to adjust to the conditions, cooler and slower, then in New York and the first set should be tighter but look for the Belgian to advance in two sets.
