Reasoning

Both players looked in good form prior to US Open incursion, Brown lost in qualifications while Lorenzi had the luck to meet Novak Djokovic in first round. The Italian is only 2-4 in Genova but won the Corenons Challenger recently, he has a solid baseline display and will try to move the German around the court and push him into defense where he isn’t comfortable. Brown has a powerful serve and rushes to the net to cut off the angles and force Lorenzi to play quick but Lorenzi has wins over Hanescu, Blake, Hernych, Navarro, Brands, Cervantes, Dancevic, Olaso on the surface and if he will not have side effects of his trip to New York he should take this one in a match which should go to three sets.
