Reasoning
This match is marked by many many absences in both team rosters, main scorers and team stars are missing due to several reasons. I start with home team Corinthians that has the most in form player offensive midfielder Paulinho called up for Brazilian national team, one of the best strikers newcomer Romarinho is suspended, Peruvian striker Guerrero was with national team also and another two important forwards that help team to win Libertadores, experienced Emerson Sheik and Jorge Henrique are out. On the other side, Internacional just sold Oscar to Chelsea during Olympics, had other players called up with national teams - key strikers Leandro Damiao to Brazil, Diego Forlan to Uruguay and important midfielder Guinazu to Argentina. Under those circumstances with many unexperienced players that will step in the first line ups for both squads, I believe there will be modest football with low quality in this midweek round. Last match played ended with a draw too, 1-1 in Porto Alegre last winter and I expect same outcome tonight after tough battle. My call is another draw between two teams in good form, Corinthians undefeated for 9 consecutive matches, with 5 draws in last 10 official Serie A games and Inter with 4 draws in last 10 games, with a 6 undefeated run. With such big missings and so many players that are not used to play from first minute in attack for both teams, I doubt they will find the net and goalless draws is good option for me, nil-nil here !
