The Toronto Blue Jays (53-56) will head to Tropicana Field for the 2nd time in this 3-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays (57-52) after losing the opener by 1-4. The Rays are going through a good period right now, didn`t have more then 2 straight losses in their last 33 games. For this one they will have righty Alex Cobb (5-8, 4.60 ERA) who is coming after his 2nd straight quality outing (2nd in a row with 7.0 innings pitched), this time against the A`s, where he gave only 1 ER. On the other side Toronto is a team without a right now, missing names like Lawrie, Lind, Arancibia or Bautista, losing 7 of their last 9. For this one they will have right-hander Carlos Villanueva (6-1, 3.19 ERA) on the mound who has just snapped a good 4-game winning streak with a loss against the Mariners, giving up 4 ER in 6.0 innings. Villanueva is 0-1, with a 17.28 ERA (8.1 IP) in his career against the Rays and that in my oppinion puts even more pressure on the modest line-up Toronto has today. I will go with a win by 2 or more runs for Tampa Bay in this one.
