The Seattle Mariners (51-59) will head to Oriole Park at Camden Yards to open a 3-game series against the Baltimore Orioles (57-51). The O`s need more steam as they would want to break free from the pack and why not get even closer to the leading Yankees with their, yesterday winning their 5th game in their last 8. For this one they will bring righty Chris Tillman (4-1, 2.70 ERA) who is coming after his 3rd straight win where he has an ERA of 3.57. Seattle, 8 games under .500 but showing something different lately, winning 8 of their last 10. Left-hander Jason Vargas (12-7, 3.71 ERA) will start for the Mariners in this one, now on a 5-game winning streak and 3-0, and ERA of 1.29 in his last 3 starts. Despite Vargas good form (5 straight wins from which 3 on road) he has practicly almost double the ERA (4.67), HRs (19) and ER (42) on road compared to home games (2.62, 6 HR, 21 ER). Along with that Tillman has some very encouraging numbers against Seattle, he is 2-0 in his career with a very good 0.63 ERA. So win Baltimore Orioles is my pick.
