Second round at the WTA Montreal Open where the chinese Kei-Chen Chang will take on Marjana Lucic from Croatia for the first time in her career. These are two different players with different careers so far and even more different results this season. For example Lucic who is now ranked just outside the top100 (101th) is a player who reached the 32nd spot in 1998 and has some decent results against top50 players, this year reaching the 3rd round as a qualifier, beating along the way world number 10 Bartoli clearly in straight sets, just to lose it to Vinci very hard after two tiebreaks. On the other side I see nothing special besides the fact that Chang has hardcourt on the top of the list in favorite surfaces. Despite that she didn`t pass 1st round in 7 out of 10 tournaments this season on this surface (just 4 out of 17 overall), so I don`t really see her as a threat. Lucic isn`t a hardcourt player but with her agressiveness and decent serve (at 1.88 m) I believe she can win it in this one.
