Kansas City is being terrific in attempts to score, reaching a club record of 19 shots only during the second half of their last game, Saturday against Columbus Crew, the MLS team that defeated Stoke in Ohio in the last week. But even like that they couldn't avoid a 2-1 home defeat in that game against Columbus, the fourth consecutive winless home game Kansas, a series that made them loose the first place, being now in the third position of the ML Eastern Conference. Stoke is not known for playing a beautiful football but their direct football and the presence of a player like Peter Crouch will put new problems to the hosts defense.
