The Philaldephia Phillies will head to Nationals Park for the second time in this 3-game series to take on the Washington Nationals after winning the opener yesterday clearly 8-0. Phillies, 46-57, bottom of the NL East just snapped a 3-game winning streak, scoring 8 times against the Nats after being kept to 2 or less in the previous three. Starting pitcher will be Vance Worley (5-6, 3.88 ERA) who is coming after a ND against the Brewers, giving up 3 ER in 5.1 innings that pe pitched. Nationals, 61-41, leading the NL East with 2.5 games ahead of the Braves, in good form, winning 8 of their last 10 games. They will bring up righty Edwin Jackson (6-6, 3.52 ERA) who has 1 wins in his last 3 starts. Despite the fact that the Phillies gave up Victorino and Pence, they have quality players to compensate for that, actually yesterday, none of them were in the line-up and Philadelphia managed a 8-0 win. Another fact that encourages me to pick the Phillies is Worley`s record on road (3-3, 2.96 ERA) which is better then pitching at home (2-3, 4.72 ERA) along with Jackson`s bad history against Philadelphia (0-2, 6.00 ERA). Without allready Ramos, Werth and Desmond, they could lose some important very important bats for this one, LaRoche and Zimmerman who are questionable (both not playing Tuesday). So win Philadelphia Phillies.
