Super Bowl XLVI Betting: Eli Manning can lead Giants to Super Bowl success in brother Peyton's home stadium

After a fascinating and gruelling NFL season in which at one point it looked like there would be no season at all, the Super Bowl is finally upon us. On Sunday the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will play host to the Greatest Show on Turf when the New England Patriots take on the New York Giants for the Vince Lombardi trophy. This match will be watched worldwide by millions of people and careers will be crowned in this game.

New England Patriots made it into this Super Bowl by beating Baltimore Ravens in an action packed AFC Championship game. Ravens kicked Billy Cundiff had a chance to take that match into overtime but he missed and so Tom Brady will grace the season ending game one more time here. All season long his main weapons have been his Tight Ends of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez but Wes Welker has also been a solid option. In the post season though the Patriots defence has started to show its quality and that will be needed again here.

New York Giants were in great danger of missing out on the postseason. They had to beat Dallas Cowboys in the final match of the regular season to win the NFC East and they haven’t looked back since. They have beaten Atlanta and been to Green Bay and San Francisco and won and look a really complete side now. Their defence, their pass rush especially, has really stepped up to the plate while their elite Quarterback Eli Manning has found Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks on a regular basis. All round the Giants are playing good football right now.

I know New England come into this Super Bowl as the favourites but for me this is all about the Giants. If they can get to Tom Brady regularly then I think the Giants will win this match. The Patriots defence can still be burned even though it’s performing better. Joe Flacco threw for over 300 yards against the Patriots so Manning could really tear them alive. The Giants are more reliable on defence and for me they will win the 46^th Super Bowl.
