Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 5th ODI Betting: Sri Lanka can claim the series as Pakistan's batting continues to misfire
Sri Lanka and Pakistan play the final ODI of their five match series in Colombo on Monday with the hosts Sri Lanka leading 2-1 going into the game. Sri Lanka took a 2-1 lead in the series when they beat Pakistan on Saturday and they know a win here will give them a good boost going into the test series which begins later in the week. A Pakistan win will level the series which is their aim.
Sri Lanka will go into the series decider as the 8/11 favourites with Boylesports. They will be pleased with their batting line up in the last couple of matches with the top three all getting big scores which sets up the team score. Kumar Sangakkara really came back to form on Saturday and if he goes well in this match you get the feeling Sri Lanka will as their bowling attack has the measure of the Pakistan batsmen.
Pakistan really need to sort out the problems they have with their batting line up. How they do that I’m not sure but it may well be time to shove a pinch hitter up the order to try and put the bowlers off their lengths. Umar Gul took a knock to a hand in the match on Saturday and he is touch and go for this match. It will be a really big blow if he isn’t fit to play but with the tests to come he may not be risked.
Until Pakistan show they have the batting line up to put scores up in this format I’m going to have to keep opposing them and that is the case here again. In the last match they got themselves into a wonderful position and then collapsed and when you collapse you tend to take extra care and caution next time out to ensure it doesn’t happen again. They can’t afford to be cautious though because they are getting outplayed so Sri Lanka look the obvious bet once again given they have no issues with bat or ball.
Back Sri Lanka to win 5th ODI for a 4/10 stake at 1.73 with Boylesports
