Seppi vs Roddick Betting: Andreas Seppi can defend his title in Eastbourne
Today's schedule might be rather short, but we should get to see two exciting matches in Eastbourne in what can be a great ending to this tennis week. First of all, let me say a few words about the Kerber-Paszek match, since some of you might still have that outright in play. Basically, I see no point in laying Kerber, as she has been the better player of the two so far and the odds are about right in my opinion (1.25 x 3.75 at William Hill). It is obviously your money and your call, but I am not a huge fan of these shenanigans and I do trust Kerber in this situation.
The ATP part of the tournament will see Andreas Seppi and Andy Roddick fighting for the title and, once again, I am going to go against Roddick. In all honesty, I think that there is a decent gap between the two at the moment. Roddick is still far away from his best and the conditions in Eastbourne are hardly ideal for his game. Friday was quite windy and it seems that nothing is going to change on Saturday, which would give Seppi a solid edge in this match-up.
Seppi is much better than the American when it comes to longer rallies (just remember his epic match against Novak Djokovic in the French Open) - and he should be able to deal with Roddick's serve in these conditions. He has made a lot of changes in his game recently and his 2012 record suggests that he is doing the right thing, so I simply have to back him against a player that has a losing record and various issues. Unlike Roddick, the Italian has also played some very tough matches here already and that should give him enough confidence ahead of this encounter.
Back Andreas Seppi to beat Andy Roddick for a 1/10 stake at 1.83 with William Hill
