Seppi vs Kohlschreiber Betting: The talented Italian can defeat Philipp Kohlschreiber
My second bet of the day comes from the tournament in Eastbourne. Surprisingly, Andy Roddick is now priced at just 3.60 to win the title at Pinnacle, which looks a bit strange to me. In fact, I would love to against him today, but Fabio Fognini has picked up a small injury yesterday and that means that I simply have to stay away (he is not going to risk anything with the Grand Slam just around the corner). Instead, I am going to look at the encounter between Andreas Seppi and Philipp Kohlschreiber, since that match should be one of the highlights of today's schedule.
The Italian has managed to cope with the tough conditions yesterday and his 2-0 victory against Carlos Berlocq suggests that he wants to get some game time before the Grand Slam. It is also important to remember that he is the defending champion in Eastbourne, so he probably also wants to get quite far in order to defend his much-needed ranking points. He might be a bit worse than Kohlschreiber when it comes to serving skills, but I would rate him above the German in the other departments, which means that he should have a slight edge in this match-up (and the H2H record seems to confirm that judgment, with the Italian winning their most recent meeting in straight sets).
In all honesty, Philipp Kohlschreiber should not even be here anymore. His performances against Go Soeda and Jamie Baker were nothing special and this will be a huge step up in terms of quality. For me, this is a 50/50 match at worst, so anything above evens represents value and I am more than happy to back the Italian today.
Back Andreas Seppi to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber for a 1/10 stake at 2.31 with Pinnacle
