Robertson vs Brecel Betting: Luca Brecel can move into the next round with a win over Jimmy Robertson

Jimmy Robertson comes into this match as the favourite with Paddy Power who have him a top price 5/6. He has already qualified for the Shanghai Masters next month and he beat Jamie Jones in the PTC tournament last week so he is in decent touch at the minute as he looks to continue to climbt he rankings this season. Robertson almost qualified for the Shanghai Masters so he has begun the season very well.
Luca Brecel is another who has begun the season well. He went well in an invitation tournament in Austria last month where he hit two 147’s in the same tournament and the week after that he beat the likes of Graeme Dott, Ken Doherty and Joe Perry in the PTC that weekend before going down to Judd Trump in the last 16 so Brecel is in good form too which makes this an exciting prospect as a match.
In many ways these two can count themselves unfortunate to run into each other at this stage of the tournament as there are a number of players both could beat comfortably who are in this round. Both these players are playing well but for me Luca Brecel is a serious talent and over the best of 11 distance I think he might just have the edge here and he can book his place in the next round against Anthony Hamilton with a win over Jimmy Robertson.
