How to Play Stud Hi-Lo
Stud Hi-Lo is very similar to Omaha hi-lo. Both games make it possible for you to count cards twice when it comes to winning the low and high hand and therefore scooping the pot, so it’s possible in Stud hi-lo to have A, 6, 6, 6, 4, 2, 3, of various suits and win with three (or trip) 6’s and ‘scoop’ the lo with A-2-3-4-6.
Note that stud hi lo is played with an "8 or better" qualifier, which means that a hand must be, at worst, an 8 for low to be eligible to win the low portion of the pot. (Low hands in seven card stud high low are determined in the same way they're determined in Omaha 8 or better).
