Murray vs Ferrer Betting: Andy Murray might be a bit overrated once again
The encounter between Andy Murray and David Ferrer is going to be the main highlight of today's schedule and it seems that British fans are expecting to see a straightforward victory for their idol. However, things are not really that clear in my opinion and I would never want to back Murray at these odds (1.44 at Pinnacle) in this match-up.
Apart from Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer has arguably been the best player of the tournament so far. He is on a great winning streak at the moment and his confidence seems to be sky-high. And I mean that in a good manner. Juan Martin Del Potro could not do anything against him yesterday, he really could not. The Spaniard is in the zone right now, he is hitting the ball really well and he can produce real magic when under pressure.
On the other hand, Andy Murray is not in the zone right now. In fact, he is far from being anywhere near it. The pressure is going to kick in today once again and I can see him crumbling. David Ferrer is one of those guys that will punish him for all kinds of mistakes and it will be extremely hard for Murray to find a weakness in the Spaniard's game.
Ferrer defeated the Scot 3-1 in the French Open just a few weeks ago and he has not done anything wrong since then, so let's give the man some credit for that. Murray is overrated here for the wrong reasons (and he is always going to be overrated in Wimbledon) in my opinion and a small play on Ferrer looks like the right choice here. He is very much the in-form player at the moment and I can see him getting the job done in the end.
Back David Ferrer to beat Andy Murray for a 2/10 stake at 3.06 with Pinnacle
