Men's Quadruple Sculls Betting: Great Britain have the sufficient improvement in them to get a medal

There are four more gold medals up for grabs on the rowing lake on Friday with Great Britain having a chance in all of the races. They are widely expected to get the gold in the women’s final on Friday but in the three men’s finals things are a lot tighter. One of the areas where Britain has always been successful in Olympic rowing is the four man boats and Britain are 14/1 with Bet365 to win the Quadruple Sculls race.

This promises to be one of the best finals of the entire regatta as all of the boats in the final are separated by such a small margin. Croatia are expected to win the gold medal but I wouldn’t say that was set in stone. They were two seconds quicker than anyone in the semi finals which gives them a significant psychological advantage going into the final.

If we assume that Croatia will bag the gold the minor medals are all up for grabs as the next three fastest qualifiers were separated by just four tenths of a second in the semi finals. Literally anyone could come out with the medals in this race which makes it a very exciting prospect and should Croatia be slightly off of their game then they might only make it into the minor medals too.

One bet I like in this race is for Great Britain to win a medal. Although Britain are out in lane one for this race I think it might not be a bad thing as those inside them could well cut each other’s throats so to speak. If we go purely on semi final times, which can be a bit folly, then Britain were third fastest but they eased up when they had qualification secured and I believe they have the required improvement in them to bag a medal at 5/6.
