Indian Premier League Betting: Delhi Dardevils 7/4 favourites to win the tournament after topping league table
The final four of the Indian Premier League has been decided and Delhi Daredevils are the 7/4 favourites with Stan James to win the competition on the eve of the playoffs beginning. The playoffs in the Indian Premier League have changed slightly this year to favour the top two sides as they get two chances to make the final whereas third and fourth have to win two matches without losing just to make the final.
Kolkata Knight Riders have been one of the best sides in the tournament so far and are one match away from the final of the competition for the first time when they play Delhi in Pune on Tuesday. Even if they lose they will get another shot at making the final on Friday and they are 15/8 with the same firm to win the tournament from here but that will be a lot shorter if they beat Delhi.
Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions but if they are to successfully defend their title they are going to have to win three matches in five days without losing any of them but they will have the advantage of their final two matches if needed being in Chennai which could be why they are only 11/2 with Paddy Power but having needed a lot of results to go their way just to qualify for the tournament they need to improve dramatically.
The final side in the playoffs are the runners up of 2010 in Mumbai Indians. They are in the same boat as the Chennai Super Kings and play them in the first of the three matches they need to win in Bangalore on Wednesday. Mumbai are 5/1 with Paddy Power to win the tournament despite finishing third but really one of the top two should succeed from here.
