Greenbrier Classic Betting: Webb Simpson 9/4 to back up his US Open win with another at Greenbrier Classic

There are still a few players to finish their second round’s in the Greenbrier Classic but going into the third day of the tournament it is US Open champion Webb Simpson who is the 9/4 favourite with Boylesports to win as he holds a one shot lead. Event organisers expect to complete the second round and play the third round all on Saturday so there should be no problem getting back to normal on Sunday.

Webb Simpson holds the lead on nine under par and he has completed his second round. He leads by one from a group of five men but only one of those fives, Martin Flores, is still to complete his second round. He has two holes remaining before he reaches the halfway stage of the tournament and he can be backed at 18/1 with Skybet to win from here.

The other four men one behind Simpson and who have all completed their second rounds are Jonathan Byrd, Jeff Maggert, Jerry Kelly and the relatively unknown Charlie Beljan. JB Holmes and Charlie Wi are a further shot back on seven under par. Of that group of players Jonathan Byrd is the shortest price to win the event now. He is a general 8/1 shot while JB Holmes is 14/1. Charlie Wi is now a 16/1 shot going into day 3 while Jerry Kelly and Jeff Maggert can both be backed at 25/1 and 28/1 respectively.

Tiger Woods missed the cut by one shot which has opened the betting right up and among those a bit further back from the leading groups you have Steve Stricker, our pre-tournament selection, who is on four under par and five behind Simpson, he is 28/1 with Boylesports while Sean O’Hair who is six under par, three behind Simpson is now 25/1 with Bet365.
