Goffin vs Levine Betting: David Goffin to record yet another comfortable victory
David Goffin, who has been getting a lot of attention recently thanks to his performance against Roger Federer in the French Open, is also going to be in action today and I think that his match against Jesse Levine deserves some attention. Pinnacle have the Belgian as a 1.60 favourite, while Levine can be backed at 2.49 with the same bookmaker.
It is obviously hard to rate these talented players objectively, but I do believe that Goffin has what it takes to compete at this level. There are many talented youngsters out there, but the Belgian actually brings more than just raw talent to the table. From what I have seen so far, it is impossible to say anything negative about his attitude. He is keeping things together under pressure and that can obviously do wonders for him in Grand Slams.
The same simply cannot be said about Jesse Levine and his match against Beck showed that he is still having some issues. He was outplaying his opponent throughout the entire match, but he managed to throw in a poor set nonetheless. And with Beck not being the greatest of competitors these days, one simply has to have some doubts about Levine's chances in this match.
Quite honestly, I would not mind backing a -3.5 line, so I am more than happy to back the -3 line here. After all, it can be covered even in longer matches. The Belgian is just a bit classier than his American counterpart and I can see him doing quite well. He does not have a lot of experience when it comes to grass, but his first round performance has shown that he is skilled enough.
Back David Goffin (-3) to beat Jesse Levine for a 3/10 stake at 2.02 with Pinnacle
